01 Aug Flamingo Styled Shoot | Lowndes Grove Plantation
Alright everybody. It’s time to party like a flock star. Our favorite funky pink wading birds are the inspiration for this Lowndes Grove Plantation outdoor wedding shoot and even though they aren’t native to our area, they scream summer so we just had to share. Candi Leonard Photography and Carolina Occasions were wanting to keep things black tie and formal for an aesthetic, but that didn’t mean that all had to be strictly business. Their joint creative concept focuses on just that: keeping things fun while still keeping things classy and elegant. This translated to strategically placing flamingoes here and there, rather than making them the star of the show, and using lighter shades of pink as opposed to in-your-face hot pink. Tiny Shindigs helped create a custom crest that was mounted on the invitation suite, place settings, and even on the cake itself. There were other subtle hints of flamingos, all the way down to the feathers on the bridal model’s heels. (Anyone else needing a pair of these pretties?) And while cutie Chug-a-lug Wagon was oh-so perfect for cocktail hour, decked out with custom door calligraphy by Simple Lettering and floral swag by Feast & Flora, the getaway mobile was just as so. The Bentley, show stopping all on its own, was taken up a notch with sweet flamingo banner and fluffy florals. It really goes to show, you simply can’t go wrong with love birds. We are clapping our hands and stomping our feet (or just one foot?) for this innovative shoot!
