This week is getting tied up in a big, beautiful, Fighting Irish bow this week thanks to Francesca and Brendan’s Charleston wedding. Although the couple had both attended Notre Dame, it wasn’t until they were attending their respective little sisters’ (who were best friends) college graduation that they were finally introduced. After a night of fun at a dive bar, the two had hit it off. This past August, on a warm but beautiful Charleston day, the couple said “I do” at St. Luke’s Chapel on MUSC’s campus where Francesca had just finished her dental residency just a few months before. Photo maven Dana Cubbage captured plenty of charming shots of the couple and their spirited bridal party before heading to Hibernian Hall, which the ladies of YOJ had transformed into a gorgeous reception inspired by the couple’s school colors—blue and gold. Long banquet tables were draped in blue linens and gold textured runners and adorned with bright arrangements by WildFlowers Inc. (Check out the seeded eucalyptus stems that had been painted gold. Loving that idea!) Food and drink were served by the finest—Cru Catering and Squeeze OnSite—and soon after, the music from Quiana Parler and Friends filled the room officially moving the reception into party mode. When it was time to leave, Francesca and Brendan ran through a sea of bubbles waving goodbye to their loving guests. Cheers to the happy couple!
