Tyler & Caroline {The Cotton Dock}

Tyler & Caroline {The Cotton Dock}

I am a giddy girl today. This wedding came across my desk and I took a deep breath of pure joy. Caroline and Tyler elected to have a destination wedding, and I am not surprised that they selected Charleston. I must say that this couple not only picked the city well but they also chose amazing talent that created this spectacular event. The guests were invited to the couple’s union on invitations custom designed by Studio R. The bride sauntered through the evening in a private collection gown purchased in Ohio as The Charleston Flutist floated delicate melodies through the French Huguenot Church. The event and florals were designed by the uber talented Luke Wilson of Fleur. The to die food food was catered by JBC. I was particularly happy when I discovered that that the the adorable cake topper was designed and handmade by the brides’s mother. Call me sentimental, but I LOVE details that are so personal. Under that lovely topper was a gorgeous cake made by The Cake Stand. Luckily, Kim Graham was there to capture all of the amazing moments. Caroline and Tyler will be able to also enjoy watching their big day because Kevin Graham was in attendance as the videographer. The reception was located at  the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation .

Caroline was happy to supply a few personal details as well….

{My husband and I met through mutual friends at a Counting Crows concert in college at Ohio University. He is from Findlay , Ohio & I am from Greeensburg, PA. We had been dating for 5 years when he proposed on his birthday on a ski trip in Colorado. As you can see.. I said yes!

We chose Charleston for our wedding because it is our favorite city in the world! I guess you could say it was a “destination” wedding. However, I am first generation American with all of my extended family still in England- so any US city would have been a destination and he has family all over the US and Denmark.

Our families rented beach houses on the Isle of Palms and made a week long vacation out of it. It was wonderful to spend the time leading up to the wedding with them all! We had a brunch in my parents beach house on Sunday morning after the wedding that was wonderful- it stretched out the event a few more hours and I am so glad we did it!}
