Just five days before this Christmas past, Shea and Jacob were on the verge of tying the knot at the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina in Mount Pleasant. While everyone else on the East Coast has battled snow this winter, these two were facing down a killer rain storm. Luckily, though, the skies cleared to cast that gorgeous, post-storm glow over everything, perfect for Shea and Jacob’s romantic “first-look” portraits captured by Dana Cubbage. From there, dressed in a stunning Augusta Jones gown, Shea walked down an outdoor aisle lined with floating candles and bushels of baby’s breath. The setting was the simple and natural design of her dreams—no surprise considering Pure Luxe Bride was behind the styling. My favorite detail? Without a doubt the use of seagrass and palmetto roses in everything from the bouquets to the boutonnieres to the lounge area by the brick fireplace. So Charleston!
