December is getting off to a sweet start thanks to Sarah and Ali’s Lowcountry wedding at Mingo Point photographed by Captured by Kate. The couple, both oncologists at MUSC, worked with Margaret Roberts of W.E.D. to create an event that was equal parts laid back, elegant, and fun. Whimsically arranged flowers of white garden roses, hellebores, pale yellow ranunculus, astilbe, and anemones by Sara York Grimshaw Designs showed up everywhere from Sarah’s stunning bouquet to dining tables dressed in lanterns. Signage showed up in the mix, too, paying homage to the couple’s favorite date spots around Charleston and throughout the world. After the ceremony and dinner, guests enjoyed yummy desserts from Sugar Bakeshop, dances under the bistro lights, and even some Persian treats and favors in honor of Ali’s heritage. Congratulations to the charming couple!
