Ever heard of a Lowcountry-Scottish fusion wedding? Well, get ready! Mhairi and Matthew’s day on the riverfront lawn of The Island House struck a perfect balance of Southern charm, glamour, and Old World tradition. Flawlessly designed and coordinated by the ladies of A Charleston Bride, I especially loved the ceremony’s bagpiper (the sound of which always brings a tear to my eye) and the plaid ribbons on each tier of the wedding cake. My favorite element of the stylish fête, however, has to the the fabulous lounge areas made of patterned area rugs, jeweled pillows, sleek benches, and plenty of votives and blooms. Pretty glam, right?
