We love a good love story just as much as the next person, but we must admit, Latoya and Robert’s romantic journey has us positively swooning. After the two New Yorkers met by chance at a New Year’s Eve ball, they quickly began a Big Apple courtship from the pages of a storybook––we’re talking walks through the West Village, picnics in hotel rooms when it was too cold in Central Park, the list goes on. After a romantic proposal (Latoya says she sobbed and laughed the whole way through), the two began planning the wedding of their dreams which led them to Charleston. Months later, on one cool October morning, Latoya and Robert each said “I do”’ during a waterside ceremony on the banks of the Ashley River at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens surrounded by their dearest family and friends. Afterward, photographer, Virgil Bunao, captured some breathtaking portraits of the newlyweds under the majestic oaks of the plantation. Once inside the carriage house, guests enjoyed a brunch-like spread of Southern favorites like shrimp and grits, omelets, and chicken and waffles. Yum! Other noteworthy details? The stunning draping, lounges, and floral goodness that the ladies of Breeze and Branch Design Studio dressed the reception with. Absolutely stunning!
