They say you meet “the one” through your passions and interests—and a little fate, of course, and that couldn’t be truer than with today’s newly engaged sweeties, Katie and Justin. After leaving their respective hometowns of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C., to move to the Holy City, they met here through Instagram and a shared fandom of really good photography. That virtual overlap led to a real-life first date, a “whirlwind romance,” as photographer Kate Dye puts it, and the engagement you see celebrated here. Enjoy! And by the way, their side trip to Sullivan’s Island was because that’s where they told each other “I love you” for the first time.
