03 Jul Kara & Drew | Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation
To kick off this holiday week (and the first full week of our revamped site), meet Kara and Drew! Kara says she always knew she wanted to say her vows under a canopy of trees and Mount Pleasant’s iconic Boone Hall Plantation delivered with its veritable forest of live oaks draped in swaying Spanish moss. Surrounded by family, friends, and a dapper bridal party (check out those perfect blue Show Me Your Mumu bridesmaids dresses), Kara and Drew said “I do” before leading their everyone to the nearby Cotton Dock for a fun-filled reception. Farm tables sported garlands, slate blue linens, and wooden planter boxes brimming with greens, peach Juliet garden roses, stock, and eucalyptus for a soft and lush contrast to the rustic spot. And to play off the high-low style even more, a gallery wall of antique mirrors hung above a barbecue spread from Sticky Fingers, while rattan lounge furniture surrounded a fire pit set up on the dock. Beautiful from top to bottom, and many, many happy returns to Kara and Drew.
