Although Emily and Morgan are set to tie the knot this coming spring in Virginia, their Charleston-based photographer, Dana Cubbage, convinced them to take a break from a family vacation on Edisto Island to head to Charleston to snap their engagement pictures. Lucky us, as the photos are plain dreamy. It being Emily and Morgan’s first time in the Holy City, Dana tells us that she had a blast playing tour guide as the the couple hunted for flower boxes to pose with. After their time downtown, Emily and Morgan scooted over to Folly Beach with their nine-week-old lab puppy, Paisley, in tow to snag some more top shots as the sun set over the water. Take one smitten, committed couple, throw in a puppy, and I’m done for! And brides-to-be, take note: use your engagement session to capture moments and chapters in your life together beyond the pending vows. New puppy parents? Work it in! Just learned to sail together? Head to the water. Think of the shoot as your first stab at a family portrait, no matter if you’re just two for now (or if your baby’s a four-legged furball), and you get the idea.
