Corey & Tim {Old Wide Awake Plantation}

Corey & Tim {Old Wide Awake Plantation}

Prepare yourself. This darling Charleston wedding is the perfect balance of delicate details, gorgeous wildflowers, styled planning and a pinch of DIY. This Sweet Southern Ferry Tale is filled to the brim with garden vintage details. Timeless Designs and the bride centered the theme based on the fact that the original house at Old Wide Awake Plantation was once the general store for the Stono River Ferry that used to run through there. Corey wanted the décor and details that were simple and complimented the theme ….wildflowers, vintage medicine bottles, and lots of daisies….{Corey’s favorite flower.}

Corey Shared some of her favorite details from the day…

{I loved all the simple vintage details that the wedding was centered around. That all stemmed from our theme my amazingly talented friend Cindy who created, “A Sweet Southern Ferry Tale.” I was so inspired by the whole idea that everything from there just flowed. We wanted our wedding to be relaxed and fun for everyone and I believe we got just that. Everything from the medicine bottles, to the cornhole game set up for guests, to the mason jars and the delicious southern treats.

My mom was also a huge help during this whole process. She made all the cupcakes for the wedding and they were AMAZING; flavors included Mint Chocolate Chip, Key Lime Pie and, of course, a traditional Red Velvet with cream cheese icing. We also had our cupcake stand made by a family friend which tied in our vintage theme.

Another detail that made our day even more special was Tim’s father, a Baptist Minister for over 20 years, officiated our wedding. It meant so much to have him there pronouncing us as husband and wife. It was a beautiful service that was spoken from the heart by my wonderful father-in-law.}
