Best Advice | Food Inspirations

I just love Fridays! It is the end of the week for some and the beginning of a wedding for others. Our friend Francesca, of Newton Farms Catering, joins us to share advice about personalizing your wedding with food this week.

Tradition. Every wedding has traditional elements, whether it’s a white dress, bouquet toss or cake cutting. But, what can you do to enhance traditions and truly personalize your wedding? We have all been to our fair share of weddings, and you often see trends repeated. My advice, serve creative and inspired cuisine to wow your family and friends.

Every couple envisions a spectacular wedding, full of family, friends and fun. As you plan, consider these four ways to make your reception memorable.

Create signature cocktails, personalize them by choosing his and her favorites.

Be inspired from future trips you plan to take by serving an hors d’oeuvre that speak to your honeymoon destination. Think jerk chicken sliders for a Caribbean-bound couple or spanakopita for a Grecian duo.

Savor a flavor from the past by offering an entree from your first date.

Then end the evening on a comfortable note. Butler-passed miniature desserts are a wonderful way to update comfort food like banana pudding, pralines and good old fashion cookies. Especially when you serve them with a petite glass of milk!
