Andie & Ben {James Island County Park}

Andie and Ben’s laidback Lowcountry wedding has us all here at TWR ready to kick off our shoes and head outside, which is exactly what they wanted for their Charleston affair. Andie first met Ben, who was working as a beach service attendant on Kiawah Island when she and her family were vacationing on the picturesque island four years ago. Their chats lead to friendship and romance shortly thereafter, and prompted a cross-country move, then a proposal on the very beach they first met. Perfection, yes? Knowing that a formal wedding was not for them, Andie and Ben instead opted for a barefoot daytime ceremony at James Island County Park followed by a relaxed and fun-filled reception where guests treated themselves to Sticky Fingers BBQ and slices of watermelon. Afterward, the newlyweds and their photographer Kelly Dillon Photography headed to downtown Charleston for post-wedding portraits, each one making us more and more thrilled that Andie’s mom encouraged her to go say “Hello” to the cute boy on the beach! Congrats to the lovely couple and to matchmakers everywhere.
