It’s crawled into the 70s today and we’re in a warm-weather state of mind this afternoon, so I thought we’d keep the vibe going with this bohemian-styled engagement session on Sullivan’s Island. Shelbi and Barend wanted a laid-back, romantic feel to their photos, and I think it’s safe to say that these sun-kissed, playful images from Kelly Sauer fit the bill to a tee. Shelbi wore a white empire-waist maxi dress from Urban Outfitters, tan sandals, and loose curls…all fantastic options that had her as comfortable as she was stylish. In lieu of a posey, she opted for a peacock feather—check out the gorgeous shot of it with her her oval-cut engagement ring, it’s swoon-worthy for sure. As for Barend, his casual island look—a lightweight navy linen button-down with cuffed slacks—hit just the right mellow note. Whether on the water-washed jetties or playing in the surf, this engagement shoot has us wanting get our toes in the sand before the cool temps return.
