When it came time for today’s featured couple, Ashley and Justin, to tie the knot five years after their courtship began, there was no doubt that the Holy City would host the occasion: Ashley is a special events coordinator for The Citadel Foundation while Justin, a Charleston native, is a graduate of the college himself (go Bulldogs!). And judging by this collection of images from Shannon Michele, it was affair to remember. After Ashley’s younger brother escorted her down the aisle at The Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, she and Justin swapped vows while looking oh-so dapper—he donned a sharp tux and Ashley stunned in a Modern Trousseau gown and pair of Manolo Blahnik pumps that would make Carrie Bradshaw swoon. During their reception at Hibernian Hall (which was planned by the all-star talents at A Charleston Bride), guests sipped on “Tipsy Tea” signature cocktails, signed quilting squares for the couple in lieu of a guestbook, and donned stunner shades on the dance floor—all while a classically elegant aesthetic reigned supreme. And how about that late-night snack? Ashley, Justin, and their family and friends noshed on refreshing Coca-Cola, yummy French fries, and popcorn, a thoughtful detail we’d like to take a bite right out of. Cheers to these darling newlyweds!
